Garlic is not good to give cats. I have heard lavender is helpful to put around the house. If you are already infested nothing but chemicals will get rid of them, unfortunately.

Small doses are fine, but it really isn’t good for them
However, fleas hate garlic
Garlic, wormwood and rosemary can also be used to treat for worms but only in exact amounts

I believe garlic is toxic to cats and dogs, so steer away from that one.

Garlic is very bad for cats. Lavender is good, peppermint, especially pennyroyal is good. Be careful if you use the essential oils though, add them, only a few drops of each, to a cat or baby shampoo instead of applying it directly. Better to use the dried herbs, add it to the shampoo, and let it sit in the sun for a few days. You must vacuum several times a day and empty it outside for at least a month if you won’t do the home treatments, though the good stuff I got from the vet was only 14 dollars to treat the house and furniture. The pricey stuff may be expensive, but the natural remedies are a lot of work.
Good luck!

The problem with using garlic, or many home remedies, is that the dose can be crucial between helping and being toxic.
Garlic is harmful to your cat, so it may be easy to give too much. An old remedy that is safe, and has worked for me, is to give your cat brewer’s yeast tablets. Fleas don’t like the taste of blood of a cat that has ingested brewer’s yeast. You can find brewer’s yeast in most health food stores. I gave my cat one tablet a day and she got so she loved it. It also makes their fur nicer.
Oh, I kept up with the flea comb until fleas were nearly gone, then used a ‘bomb’ on the house to kill any eggs. That ended the problem once and for all.

Small doses of garlic is good, but be REALLY careful if you want to use wormwood, it is a vermifuge, a purgative and is really strong.
