Wireless Printer Problems?

I currently have a wireless printer, however it’s connected to my PC through USB. When I click on my printer and select properties in control panel, and then ports, it shows my printer’s USB port ticked. There is another port there called DOT4_001, I was wondering could this be the wireless port that makes my printer print wireless.

If your printer has wireless support, it will print through wireless only when :-
1.you have given it a static IP of the range matching with your computer IP range.
2. your computer should also be on the same wireless network, and
3. you have set settings in the “computer’s print setup” to print through TCP IP.
and “DOT4_001″ is not a wireless port shown in your computer.
