a carpenter as it is wood but you could get it changed and call in a builder and have a wall put in

I would suggest a Mason…Have him Put cinder blocks in, then you will never have to worry about it……..A mason works with cement, I used to work 4 one in MA. We built chimney’s, retaining wall’s, cellar floors, building’s etc..

When you say retaining wall I assume you are referring to a waterfront wall? If so and this is made of wood then typically these are done with tongue-n-groove 2×6″ pressure treated material. If this is in fact what you are referring to then I would recommend you contact a local marine construction company who specializes in seawalls, boat docks and boat houses.
If this assumption of what you are referring to is incorrect and you still need assistance then please use my listed contacts to reach me for further help.
Best of Luck!

Landscapers love to build retaining walls, get quotes from a few guys you see doing other people’s lawns. If under 4′ high, you can do it yourself with the interlocking solid blocks at home improvement stores.

U need to start and check out Ur local Landscaper’s.Most of them are able to do this or pass u on to the people who do.U need to make sure that when it is done that there is gravel going in first then covered with a drain clothe.(allows water to soak Thur)then the dirt. This will allow the water to go Thur and return the dirt will not push on the wall,There for u will not have the same problem in that spot.Feel free to e-mail back if u need to start over on the wall.I have built a few of them in landscaping.
