I think Revolution is the best. Frontline has always disappointed me. Plus, Revolution prevents all types of insects, including mosquitoes.

Believe it or not, I had heard that if you mix brewers yeast in with their food it helps prevent them from getting fleas or at least eggs hatching.

For my cat I have advantage and it really works he was scratching and biting himself to death to the point where I took him to the vet and they gave me that and it cleared him up. And for my dog I have Frontline and he has never had fleas or ticks at all. So those are really good brands.

I would most certainly use REVOLUTION. it prevents heartworm, fleas, and many other parasites. It is safe for beagles,
, and applies as drops to the back of the neck. Instead of putting poisons in to your dog you are protecting his skin from exposure.

Those products contain poisons which not only kill fleas, but also harm your pet. Try to keep your dog away from areas that have fleas. Get rid of the fleas he has now, any that may be in your house. Try giving some garlic pills that are specially made for dogs. Bathe your dog w/ an anti-flea shampoo.

Frontline works the best, especially for ticks and fleas and lasts more than a month.

I use advantage. But before when my Samoa was a baby and too little for flea medication i used a combination of part viniger to 9 parts water and lightly spritzed her coat. Not one flea.

I’ve used them all and they all work. We live in a rural area, and there are plenty of critters around here to get on the dogs.
We check the dogs every time they come into the house, and using the flea/tick/mosquito repellents has minimized any issues. The dogs are both free of parasites and such.
The ticks have been really bad this year, too.
I don’t think you can get the “wrong” medication for your beagle. Just make sure you visually inspect them when they come in from outside, and check the ears, armpits, and legs especially.
good luck!
