What to expect after pest control for roaches?
I’ve had the pest control come in about 3 weeks ago, bait gel was put around my home… to be clear the infestation wasn’t bad (light/intermediate)… and they were German roaches. After the first 7 days or so, I would find a couple here and there alive and dead. I even left the home for a few days and when I came back I only found a few dead ones. For the past 8-9 days I haven’t found any alive or dead, and trust me I’ve checked everywhere, what I did find is some of their legs scattered here and there… so again just when I thought they might be out of here, I’m curious as to why I’m finding their body parts (legs)… Again as I said I’ve checked everywhere, I’ve even gotten up on numerous occasions during the night, and checked all the cupboards, the floors, corners wherever I have found them before and NOTHING! I also have roach “houses” placed around my apartment, and I’m trying my best to keep everything as clean and dry as I can. I’m worried they will come back again :
P.s I’m aware that the gel takes some time to work, but since they’ve been gone for a little over a week should I be worried?
To add I’ve asked some people around my building if they have a problem with roaches some say they don’t others say they do. The main problem is the apartment I’m in now was vacant for 3 months, during the summer, in those 3 months they did pest control on the building level so everything was sprayed, so I’m guessing since the apartment was empty they came to my apartment in the process of running.
Soon enough I will develop a sixth sense for detecting roaches

you would probably only have a problem if other apartments have roaches and they migrate to your apt.
i’ve live in several different apartment complexes for over 10yrs and i’ve had apts. that were swarming with roaches and other apt. complexes where i might see a bug once every 6 months. where i live now a pest control person comes once every two months. usually i tell him i don’t want the apt. sprayed since i have no problem.

after the insects die, in a few days they can dry up and fall apart, probably dieing in out of sight areas..into the second week a light to moderate infestation can be taken care of with the baits, by leaving out fresh bait, any roaches that try to move in down the road will die out before getting established.

Roaches are known to travel throught walls of Apartment complexes. so neighbors wont tell you the truth. So you wanna make sure your outlets and covered and the holes, cracks and crevices seal from the rest of the units around you
