I have a serious in-house slug problem, i’ve caught a few with salt on the carpet but they just keep on coming, i cant seem to find the point of entry, so i was wondering how long do they live ??
(if they die naturally)
Ohh and one more thing, what do they like eat, maybe i can tempt more of them into a trap or something

they die after about 6 to 8 months unless you put salt or mustard on them!

I think the avg lifespan of a slug is six months.I don’t exactly know what they eat but as per my knowledge of zoology they feed on very minute animals like larvae of insects & adults of relatively smaller insects.

Slugs eat decaying plant matter. A saucer full of beer will attract them and kill them. Also putting aluminum foil down at the point of entry will keep them away.
Slugs live in moist areas – you may want to check for damp places in your home and try to dry them out with a dessicator.

the life span of a slug is seconds when i find one, no seriously the spotted slug is three to four years. the grey garden type 9 to thirteen months. apparently a saucer of beer attracts them and they drown. or if you have no pets use snail pellets. they might be getting under the patio glass sliding door – through the sill. when they are made they are meant to have a rubber strip inserted in them, to allow water to seap out but no insects to get in. but some workers under pressure might shortcut and leave the rubber out. so they come in through the water drain holes. if this is the case i would try put a strip of expansion foam down in the track or maybe pesticide. so the water can still escape. slugs hate saw dust too!
