What is the best way to take notes on a non-tablet computer?
I am an engineer in college and I decided it is a lot easier for me to study notes off of my computer (more organized). The problem is getting them on there. I tend to just sit there with Word typing them out after class which is not easy when your doing math and drawings. I saw a commercial for a fly fusion pentop computer which allows someone to write notes with the pen which stores the notes then transfer them to your computer easily. Reason I don’t get that is because you need to buy special paper, it is bulky, and childish. Is there anything else I can buy that is like this, maybe a little cheaper, and simpler?

well I use Digimemo L2. from http://www.digimemo.com/
The price is reasonable, you do not require special paper.
Its a small board that connects to your laptop using USB as well as work stand alone. Means the board is enough to record waht ever you are writing and drawing, transfer them to PC when you get back home. The Package also includes OCR software to turn your writing to text on PC.
