What is considered reasonable notice for having your apartment fogged for buds?
Saturday evening (November 6th) I found a note on my door that stated my apartment was going to be fogged for roaches the following Monday the 8th and that I needed to remove everything from my cabinets, drawers, closets, everything! It was basically like moving. I had left my apartment at around 12:30 on Saturday and did not see any notification on my door. On top of it all, I have 3 cats and had to figure out what to do with them while the apartment has to be vacant. I understand that this had to be done to control the pest infestation caused by my filthy neighbors, but don’t you think that a day and a half notice is insufficient? If so, is there anything I can do to file a formal complaint. I would at least like to have some rent taken off, it isn’t my fault that their tenants refuse to clean their apartments. Any help is much appreciated!
In the title I meant bugs, not buds. I am typing this while somewhat distracted at work.
I had them come do the normal spray around the baseboards but when I was talking to the exterminator he said that they will have to fog the whole building (which is what they did today). I found less than 10 dead ones when I returned to the apartment, but the disgusting next door neighbors had 250 dead ones in their place, pretty good indication that it’s them. They have another one scheduled for November 22, but if those people can’t keep their damn apartment clean, it isn’t going to get any better. So I guess now my question is there anyway that I can file a complaint that actually matters (not just to the apartment management) against my neighbors if they don’t keep it clean?

the pest company (assuming the same for non commercial applicator’s license) is required to give 48 hour notice..it’s your home though and not required to have any service done if you are not ready for it or not wanting it. On another note, being if they are fogging for roaches the apartment people need to find a new company to begin with, the company is just going through the motions to get a nice monthly check.

Telling the manager that you treat the bugs in your apartment might work.
And you can not be around spray.
When the filthy neighbors apartment is fogged, their roaches are going to run to other apartments.
You will need to have something along the base boards and other places to be ready when the foggers make the bugs scatter.
The apartments I lived in gave short notice. 2 days notice.
We were given the same instructions when we lived in apartments. Most of the time the bug men did not show up. One time without notice someone came in and run around the apartment and sprayed along the base boards real quick.
