What has happened to our airlines?

I understand the tighter security etc. after 9/11, but it took me almost two hours to get a ticket reservation for England. i had all my papers in order. I fly alot. Usually, it’s right in and out. Two people standing right next to me were booking the same flight and got it done in 15 minutes. They couldn’t even speak English. What have your airline nightmares been like?

I have to say, I have been really lucky. I myself have not flown in a while….but my kids fly several times a year. Most airlines have been great and even let my husband and I both walk them all the way to their plane. We have had the most luck with Southwest and American. United was rude as hell. They tried to tell us that our kids…12 and 6 at the time had to walk alone through Ohare Airport alone!!! I freaked and spoke to the head of security and they let one of us go. I hate United, every time I deal with them, they are so rude.
