What do i do i found a tick in my home…how do i remove them?

Should i call an exterminator?… my boyfriend already got bit by one and we took him to the hospital he’s taking full antibiotic treatment. we live in a very woodsy area and i believe we will get more insects. But im mostly scared of the ticks because of lyme disease. Is an exterminator good for this and which company is more affordable.

Get a bug spray to spray around the inside and outside of the house. That should kill anything that tries to come in or that is already inside. Make sure you get the right kind because there are some sprays that are for such one insect and not multiple.

i wouldn’t worry too much about it if you only found one or two, but if you are finding extraordinary amounts them defiantly call an exterminator. look for ones that specialize in ticks. also if you have any pets use the best tick/flea prevention medications out there. if you find a tick on you that has bit you, then take it off with tweezers, and stick it in plastic baggie in the freezer. then take it to the hospital to get it tested for lyme.
