what do ants eat?

im trying to do a science project and ive got to take care of some tree ants for a week or two and if they die or get eaten or anything like that i get an f so what do tree ants eat and drink? i have many tree ants already i just need some advice so i dont flunk school!!!

put wrappers with tiny bits of sugary food on them. this is from personal experience. once i had wrappers in my book bag and ant came swarming in my house by the dozens!!

Just leave some water with a small amount of added sugar to give them nutrients and then leave things such as leaves and grass for them to eat.

Ants eat anything sweet, leaves, other insect pupae, other insect larvae ect.

OH BOY .. THATS A HARD JOB HOPE THEY DONT GET OUT .. ANYWAYS .. LIKE THE CARTOONS ALLWAYS SHOW ON TV.. ANTS LOVE ANYTHING SWEET..
IF YOU HAVE BROWN SUGAR OR MALASES.. OR PUT AN APPLE SLICE ONCE IN AWHILE IN THE CONTAINER.. THEY WILL GET THE NUTRIENTS THEY NEED..
DONT PUT TO MUCH FOOD IN .. A BIT AT A TIME UNTIL ITS GONE.. WHEN YOU PUT THE FOOD IN .. YOU WILL SEE THEM RACE FOR IT .. IT A GOOD SIGN .. IF THEY DONT GO FOR IT THEN THEY DONT LIKE IT..
OR EVEN HONEY TRY A FEW DROPS ..
THINK WHAT WOULD ANTS EAT OUT OF A TREE..
MALLASA’S .. AND YOU CAN READ ON THE WEB TOO FOR THE INFO ON TREE ANTS.

i think u should just leave some pieces of food or sugar and sweets and some water!!
