Unable to uninstall Dreamweaver CS3 from Windows Vista?
I went to control panel to add or remove programs
and i selected Adobe Dreamweaver CS3. I hit the
Uninstall/Change button and another window opens
and says windows needs your permission to
continue, i hit yes and another window opens giving me to options
1). Install or Reinstall(Install additional components or reinstall existing ones)
2). Remove Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 Components(Remove some or all of your Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 components)
I selected the second one (remove Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 components) and a new page loads showing the components in a list and Adobe Dreamweaver is greyed out and ticked (i don’t have other components). At the end of the window there is another option (Remove all applications preferences) and i have that selected.
I hit Next and another window appears saying:
The following components will be removed
1) Adobe Dreamveaver CS3
2) Shared Components
And i hit the Remove components button at the bottom of the page. The next page loads a error message saying:
SOme problems occurred while components were being removed, please see below.
Summary
Errors: 2component(s):
Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 (not removed)
Shared components (not removed).
I’ve tried even uninstalling with the Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 DVD in the CD-Drive. But i cannot seem to uninstall it.
Please advise.
Thanking you in advance

They may still be in use so it will not let you remove. Try rebooting in safe mode(Press F8 on reboot at your OEM screen). Then try uninstalling.

Hi,
Adobe have a article on how to manually uninstall CS3 or any of its components in the event a corrupt file is preventing the usual uninstall option to work.
