Star wars rogue squadron 3D thrust brake problems or glitch?
I really feel stupid for asking this here, but there is a severe lack of support for these games running on newer systems, so here goes:
Everything works fine except for one thing. Graphics look good, controls on joystick are great. Game doesn’t crash or anything. The problem lies when I’m actually in the game and flying. The craft will ONLY accelerate; it will not brake at all. And when I do brake, the control will only stop the ship from accelerating. This in itself wouldn’t be too bad, and I could just play the game going the crafts slowest speed, but then, the craft will just accelerate on it’s own until finally, it’s so far ahead of the camera, that it’s little more than a dot on the screen, and of course, you can’t play it like that.
I’m running windows xp with an AMD 64 dual processor. I’ve tried just about everything including the newest patch, and nothing changes. Hopefully, somone out there has encountered this and knows what to do. I’d appreciate it.

I tried installing Rogue Squadron 3D recently after having found the disc, and it glitched like hell in XP. THe game’s old. You might have to try it in an older different processor.
As for braking, well you are flying, they’re not supposed to stop – and the A wing at lowest speed is still pretty fast.
Nobody has ever showed me a story from 1903 or 1904 in which someone claimed to have already invented controlled powered flight, prior to the Wright Brothers. I’m still waiting to see this evidence.
