Should someone who is a suspected terrorist be stripped of his or her citizenship?

And does the US have a good track record of figuring out who is a risk, judging from the children and elderly women on the No-fly list?

Yes, they should. So should drug dealers, murderers, rapists, and other scum. (And if no other country will take them, let’s ship them to an island off the coast and use them for televised blood sports. That would RULE!)

If the terrorist is a US citizen the Constitution should be followed.
No, considering that 0bama took the NYC bomber off of the no-fly list.

no penalty should come from suspicion.
No they don’t. The late Senator Ted Kennedy was prevented from flying by the no-fly list.

No, that is just as bad as the terrible asset forfeiture laws that the Government uses to strip you of your ability to afford a defense.
They can strip you of your wealth before conviction, and now they also want to strip you of your citizenship. This kind of control is scary.

No one should be stripped of their citizenship. Aside from that is sets a dangerous precedent.

I suggest not stripping them of citizenship until they receive a fair and impartial trial in a court of law. Wow! what a radical, commie, hippy danger to America I must be for suggesting that.

Perhaps if they are proven terrorists in a court of law but “suspicion” is not good enough. There seem to be a lot of holes in their methods of finding terrorists.

After they are water boarded 257 times then deprived of sleep for days and not allowed to eat for a week. Then strip them of their citizenship, they will have confessed so many times by then they have to be guilty of something.

Not necessarily suspected.
However terrorism is without a doubt treason against the US and in some cases of treason, citizenship can (and in my opinion SHOULD) be removed from the individual. And in all cases of terrorism they should be executed by firing squad as we did with traitors in the old days.

If sufficient evidence is available to determine that the subject is indeed a sympathizer of the terrorists or a terrorist, than under strict rules yes.

Only according to people who think taxing them takes away their freedom. Rational people believe in the protections afforded by the Constitution.

No. They can’t keep the no fly list accurate. They stop Grandma in her wheelchair and let
a bomber like the NY guy through.
