A few weeks ago my boyfriend said he saw a roach in our bedroom. Three days ago I saw one in the bathroom. I am absolutely sick over this and don’t know how they got in. In the six months that I’ve lived in this apartment, I never saw even an ant.

Two months ago, a new management company took over the complex. They stopped the monthly indoor pest control but say that they continue to spray outside. I’m wondering if the lack of pesticides indoors have allowed the bugs to live and breed inside. The complex was also covered with large trees throughout and I’d say at least 80% have been cut down in the past few weeks. Maybe the roaches were living in there? Also, I live on an end unit but my bedroom and bathroom (where the roaches were seen) back up to the apartment next to mine. So I’m also thinking that maybe they’re filthy and have roaches and they’re coming over to my place now. I keep my place immaculate so I know it’s nothing I’ve done to invite them in.

Which of these reasons do you think is most likely the case? Is it a combination of all of them? Is it something else? I’ve already asked management to send someone to spray inside my apartment and I plan on getting monthly pest control again, even if I have to pay for it myself.
Yes, they’re the really big ones.
