Well…this is my team on my Platinum I just started.

P.S. The moves I have put an X next to it means Im not getting rid of the move and another move over it..

Ok, this team looks good and has potential!!! I do see some things that may be changed.
Tropius- Not bad. Never have more than one of the same type of move. Replace Fly (I know it’s X’ed, but you won’t need it for the E4) for Aerial Ace and Razor Leaf for Shock Wave.
Dusknoir- Is way more defensive than offensive! It’s moves should help your other team members. Teach it Destiny Bond, Reflect, Toxic and Shadow Ball.
Infernape- Is a Special Sweeper. One of my favorites as it is so versatile. Nice choice for the starter! I would teach it Close Combat, Grass Knot, Flamethrower and Thunder Punch.
Darkrai- Not a huge fan of legendaries, but since Darkrai is one of the best I make acceptions for it. I like your move set, but i would take a bigger advantage using it’s ability, Bad Dreams. Teach Darkrai Dark Void, Dream Eater, Nightmare and Focus Blast.
Dialga- I’m assuming you have already defeated the Pokemon League as you get this after. I approve of it’s moves and it’s all around good!!
I would rate your team a 8.5/10.

Tropius shouldnt have sunny day. Is kinda useless coz all it does is speed up tropius and doesnt really effect the rest of ur team in any way. Plus, it will stink more if you use the move and ur battling a castform. Then it will turn fire type and kill tropius, also the move helps cherrium. Train ur pokemon 2 a higher lv, and replace dusknoir w. miliotic or sumthing. Focus blast on Darkrai is ok, not that good, especially if ur darkrai is on the slower side. Other than that i think ur team is awesome!! Hope this helps!

but i have a question about ur infernape….
can infernape really learn ‘drain punch’ ?
cuz my infernape cant learn drain punch…..
and im just wonderin’ howd u make it learn drain punch?

TM 60 for infernape…….hhmmm…something smells fishy……….lol

Well, let’s see.
It’s quite a good team for someone who just started, just 1 problem, you don’t have a water type, but anyways, let’s go on.
As for your Tropius:
If you want to keep Solarbeam that much, I suggest you keep Sunny Day as well, because under Sunny Day, Solarbeam can be launched without a turn to prepare. Razor Leaf is a move you might need to think about, if I’m not wrong, Tropius’ SP Attack is better than its Attack, so you might want to think about Energy Ball, Grass Knot, Magical Leaf, or Hidden Power, etc.
Dusknoir:
Dusknoir’s Attack stat is well known to be higher than it’s SP Attack stat, so I think Shadow Ball and Psychic wouldn’t be needed, but, above all that, Dusknoir’s Defenses are better than both Attack and SP Attack so most people give it move like Will-O-Wisp and Double Team to stall their opponents, so you might want to think about it.
Also, try Shadow Punch for Dusknoir.
Infenape:
I know you said you weren’t going to change the X marked moves but, I’m still going to say this, Infernape’s a mixed Sweeper, with below Average Defenses, if you give it Hyper Beam, then, most likely, it will get 1-hit-KOed during the turn after Hyper Beam where it can’t attack.
So I suggest Thunder Punch over Hyper beam because without Thunder Punch, Infernape could be in serious trouble with Water-Flying types,being a Fire-Fighting type.
You can or may also want to replace Fire Blast with Flare Blitz or Fire Punch or Shadow Claw because if Fire Blast didn’t hit, then…
Darkrai:
For Darkrai, I suggest you replace Poison Jab with Dream Eater so you can complete the Dark Void, Dream Eater, Bad Dreams, Combo that only Darkrai can perform.
Also, replace Focus Blast with Dark Pulse since Darkrai is a Dark Type. As for the Final move, you may want to choose between Nightmare, Thunderbolt, etc.
Dialga:
For Dialga, I suggest you replace Flamethrower and give it the STAB Dragon Pulse. Then, when it reaches Lvl.100 replace Flash Cannon and learn Aura Sphere.
Afterwards, all I want to tell you is, between and Draco Meteor and Roar of Time, you should just pick one instead of both because:
After you use Roar of Time, you must rest a turn, and after you use Draco Meteor, your SP Attack will go down by 2 levels, basicly meaning that Draco Meteor’s Power is cut to half every time you use it, also, with a low SP Attack, Dialga could be hopeless because most of Dialga’s moves are under the SP Attack catergory..That is why I suggest you to just choose one of those 2 moves.
I replaced Draco Meteor and put Earth Power on My Dialga.
But then again, it’s your choice! ^_^

i just have a comment on your infernape.
this probably wont be chosen as the best answer but you
still outta keep this tip in mind. Infernape specializes in PHYSICAL
attacks. Also, moves the same type as infernape are powered up.
The ideal moveset for infernape would be Flame wheel, mach punch(or because its speed is already incredibly high, a move like brick break could be an alternative), Close combat, and flare blitz.

Change tropius for a water type pokemon like gyarados, milotic, or vaporeon. Tropius has that 4x weakness to ice attacks which are very common.
