This is Lyme disease. You need to go to a doctor immediately and get started on 400 mg of doxycycline, for 6 weeks. (200 mg in morning, 200 mg at night). If the first doctor only gives you 200 mg for 2 weeks, go to another doctor to get more, until you have enough pills. Don’t tell the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th doctor that you have seen other doctors. Do not drink milk or eat cheese within 2 hours of taking the medication, because it reduces absorption. Doxycycline causes sun sensitivity while taking it, so wear sunscreen and cover up as much as possible when out in the sun.
Take a high quality probiotic every day that you are on the antibiotics, so that you don’t get diarrhea or a candida infection. Do not take the probiotic within 2 hours on either side of an antibiotic dose.
Some good probiotics are Theralac and Bio-K. You can buy them online. They are expensive but it’s better than getting chronic yeast or a C-diff infection from antibiotics. Start taking the doxycycline right away, even if you haven’t received the probiotics yet. It’s okay to take antibiotics for a few days before starting probiotics.
If you do not start the antibiotics soon enough, at a high enough dose for a long enough time, the Lyme disease will become chronic, spread throughout your body and brain, and become extremely hard to get rid of. In a few years you could be diagnosed with anxiety, depression, fibromyalgia, arthritis, or multiple sclerosis, etc.. (chronic Lyme in disguise).
