on tuesday, me and my bf called the health inspector and they came to check out our apartment since we complained our landlord has done nothing since the day we moved in about the roach infestation and mice. when he came in, he told me in my bf that our apartment is very nice and clean, then he noticed roaches crawling on the kitchen sink (i was dishes every night) and immediately wrote it down. we told him we have been living here for 7months straight and pest control has only came 4 times despite our landlord telling us they will come every monday but they dont. he then took a look through the rooms and said they were clean and tidy except for the carpets which are stained. me and my bf laid carpet over the dirty ones because i cant stand filth. the landlord asked who cleaned our apartment or prepd it before we moved in and i told him that 2 of the maintenance men sent their kids (3 of them) to come clean our apartment. when me and my bf walked in, all three were sitting in the middle of our living room floor laughing. the oldest then told me she accidently got a piece of the carpet in the guest bedroom caught in the vacuum. the health inspector said no one unless maintenance, landlord, ourselves or someone we hiring is suppose to clean our apartment if they are not certified to do so or live here. we then pulled the fridge out and showed him the 2 mouse traps we set up after our landlord told us it is our responsibility to get rid of them because they could have come from my bf’s 2 snakes (stupid right) although he feeds his snakes frozen mice and feed them in the tank. long story short, the health inspector talked to our landlord and told her if she does not take further steps into fixing the roach infestation and the mice along with some of the appliances he noticed were missing (we complained about those 2) … he will keep coming out here and stand beside her to make sure she takes down our complaints etc. she was suppose to have pest control come spray this week and bomb, i cleared out everything, covered everything, but no one showed up once again. im starting to think this is pointless. and we pay 556.55 a month for this apartment and our landlord refuses to help. what can i do.? we have gotten bug spray, traps etc but it doesnt help because all 4 tenants around us have roaches and its like they run and hide depending on whos apartment is getting sprayed or bombed. what can i do plz.? i hate bugs
