Is there a safe and effective way to get rid of mice?

It seems this time every year we seem to get a bit of a “mouse” problem. I have a 5 year old, and a cat (outdoor) and i am afraid to use any poisons, not knowing if either one will come in contact with it. I have bought glue traps and they work, but not good enough, i also heard that those electronic pest controls dont work, so what should i do?

Bring your cat inside for a few and set traps in inconspicuous areas…….GOOD LUCK–ps, peanut butter is better than cheese or poison on the traps!!

Theres a trap you can buy at the store and you put some penut butter on the in side then the trap shuts behind them so they are in the box.

use ur cat or get the posions the posions wont do anything 2 ur child unless he/she eat them also i had the problem find were them coming from and seal it up

YES!! I read this a few months ago and have been using it and it WORKS. Get some oil of peppermint ( not peppermint flavoring) and put it on some cotton balls and place them around the entry points. Oil of peppermint is also used for upset tummies, but I would keep the cat and kid away. A five year old is old enough to know not to mess with stuff….. Good luck!

Make sure food sources are not available and look for cracks.
Best mouse trap is called “A better mousetrap” It is reusable and easy to remove dead mouse.
I keep them year around baited with peanut butter.

Somebody already mentioned the oil of peppermint, but if you are still worried about your child or cat getting into it, stuff steel wool into in holes around your foundation.
It’s cheap and it works.

Mice are a pain. We had a problem with them in the spring. It seemed as if every morning when we went to the dog food can there were three tiny little mice in the can looking up at us as if to say ” please don’t hurt us.” So, we would scoop them up and take them across the street to the park and let them out. We went so far as to mark them to see if the same mice came back every day. It got to the point where we put out traps,with peanut butter of course. I hated removing their Little bodies. Eventually they stopped coming in, maybe they found homes outside. So far this winter we have not seen any. I know they are pesty but they are cute little things. I don’t know if this helped at all, I kind of went off on a tangent but that is the only mouse experience I have had. So, good luck, I hope that you find something that works for you.
