Is the Food and Drug Administration on crack?
They say its okay to eat dead cochlear beatles (in red food color), it okay to eat toxic preservatives and chemicals, its okay to consume steroids, antibiotics, and growth hormones in meats and commercial milk, its okay to have a certain percentage of rat hairs in peanut butter, its okay to genetically modify foods with scorpion poison to control pests, its okay to approve medicines that are known to contain harmful and potentially dangerous chemicals, and now, its okay to eat cloned meat?
I was just on their website and am stunned at some of the things they say are perfectly fine to consume-it defies common sense

On crack? Who knows. I highly doubt it, as a federal agency is not a person, so how could it smoke crack, or whatever?

We have the best government that money can buy. If you want it to be OK to sell bat wings and salamander toes for people to eat, just throw a little money toward your favorite senator and you can sell those things out of a dumpster.

A lot of things are dangerous but are okay to eat in moderated quantities.
Even water is dangerous.

i am sure some of the workers use crack plus many other illegal drugs. might be required to fit into the FDA inner culture. i know he things you say are true. being hearing it for years. they would say it is for the greater good meaning the economy. the government administration is a bundle of contradictions. i worry about my water supply and use brita but i still wonder. try to minimize use of milk. know the meat if full of all that you mention but i can on pray for grown children who must eat this stuff. when will they start processesing people and other animals mixed with soy, vegs, and other “valuable” animals like cats and dogs to make “meat” patties like in the old sci fi movie with Charlton Heston called “Solyent Green?” Those government officials on CSPAN make me sick when i happen to watch that now and then. What a disgusting “Brave New World” we have engineer with this bizarre and evil ruling class. Vote for something else? Don’t be silly.

they also say human waste is OK to use as a fertilizer, no wonder we are facing so many new virus and diseases.

Yea it’s really something isn’t it? They are even using plants that have human DNA inserted in order to make drugs and they are swearing that they can contain the spread of these plants into the wild. They tried that with genetically modified corn and that spread all over. Life seeks to expand and grow.
Thats why in some countries, such as England they are promoting a “real food” movement. Its where a demand is created for wholesome food and more locally grown. Therefore growers have an incentive to produce real food. It also educates people to take a bit more time to cook with natural ingredients instead of using something boxed or frozen.

To find out who is behind the movement to legalize cloned meat, all that needs to be done is follow the money trail.
The FDA’s draft risk assessment relies heavily on the work of animal-cloning companies Cyagra and ViaGen. More than a quarter of the 700-page draft consists of data from these two companies.
While on the surface the draft addresses some public safety issues, commercial interests largely inform the substance of the draft.
Polls have shown that the majority of the public does not want cloned meat, and certainly wants it to be labeled if it is available. The FDA has stated that it cannot require labeling.
The FDA’s recent approval of cloned meat and milk for sale in America’s grocery stores after more than three years had a great deal to do with the agency relying far too much on companies that will profit from the move, such as ViaGen and Cyagra.
Additionally to the more than 170 pages of the draft supplied directly by the companies, the work of a pair of scientists either currently or formerly employed by Cyagra was cited liberally throughout it.
And, of course, the government and conventional science will justify cloning animals for all the very debatable good it can do to rid the world of hunger or to discover new and often unnecessary and useless toxic drugs.
However noble these objectives may sound, Americans certainly aren’t fooled by the tainting of our food supply with cloned meats. More reason than ever for you to seek out local sources for your vegetables and meats.
