Most sporting goods stores will carry the Remington 870 and the Mossberg 500. Both are good choices and can come with both barrels. Sometimes they may come with a scope but they can be junk, so I’d recommend looking to get the scope seperately. I’ve owned the 870 for a long time and prefer it over the 500 – its just tighter with less slop, but the 500 is still a tried and true shotgun also, so I’m not saying its a bad choice, just that I prefer the 870. Either one will work fine.
Remington 870 express Combo is a good one. My sister loves her 20 gauge in that config. One barrel for deer season and one for the others. Scope will come separate of the shotgun. Better glass the better like a 3x from Bushnell or Burris or Leupold.
Ideally any shot gun shooting slugs should have either a rifle slug barrel or be an open cylinder. With out this it will shoot the slugs and pellets but it will deform the slugs slightly as they pass through the choke which will make it not as accurate at long range.

Is your preference for Over-and-under (Stevens 512, Ruger Red Label) , or side by side (Browning Citori 525, Charles Daly Field grade)?
