Yes you did, you should not give ANY medication to a nursing dog unless a vet advises you to do so……..take them to the Vet they are very sick and are having an allergic reaction.

What flea control did you use? call your vet and talk with them. Over the counter flea meds can cause complications to nursing pups. I think that Frontline and Revolution may even have restrictions with nursing mothers.

Frontline is notorious for causing allergic reactions. My vet advises against frontline even for adults. They now use a product called advocate. That’s just by the way.
Concerning your puppies take them straight to the vets. I hope they will
be okay. In future I suggest everyone does not think they know what to use, as drugs change and different reactions get noted over time.
Which is why the vets are always keeping on top of what is good and changing their flea / worming etc treatments.
Let us know how you get on.

One isn’t suppose to put any flea medication on a nursing Mom ,or pups. You will need to bath each one and hope the medication doesn’t kill the pups.Advavtage for fleas can be put on a pup at 7 wks. old.Other flea medications will give directions on the medication label, and most say 12 wks. old for a pup.

What kind did you use? Most flea meds are not safe for puppies. I would give them a bath in anti-bacterial soap & warm water & contact the vet to get them checked.

If you used the real Frontline that you got from the vet then it should be fine. Frontline has been approved by the FDA for use on pregnant and nursing dogs. The problem (while yes it could be the Frontline since any products etc including natural ones can cause a reaction in individuals who are sensative) is likely something else. Regardless of what it might be casued from these puppies NEED vet attention NOW!!! A health issue with a puppy is nothing to fool around with. They can crash & die very quickly. If you have a litter of puppies then you are responsible for seeking appropriate medical care for them!!!
If however the Frontline you got was OTC from online or a pet store then you really need to worry since a lot of that is counterfeit knockoff and could be potentially dangerous.
The ‘real” Frontline is one of the safest flea products out there and has a very low rate of adverse reaction compared to most other flea products.
Again GET these puppies to a vet NOW and find out what is really going on and get them diagnosed & treated properly!!!!!!!!

I am SO SORRY but I researched and just because you used Frontline, the puppies have been poisoned. I did some research and it says that if a nursing animal uses this, the babies inside will be poisoned.
Since they look lethargic, and they have RED bellies, right? Then they are.
I am really sorry about this, but life is life. We know this wasn’t on purpose.
