Note: I am a female on my brother’s name
I have NO idea what these insect are or where they came from. All I know is today my father, brother and I went somewhere and I put socks and shoes on, then later I removed my shoes and there were a bunch of little red insects ALL over my ankles. They looked red and almost like fleas but they had a flat round body. Some looked dead, but they were all “attached” to my leg and would not come off. My dad was getting mad and I was freaking out and just wanted them off, so he just scraped them off with a knife, But since he just scraped them off, this probably means their heads and/or bodies are still embedded in my leg.
Questions: 1. What ARE those insects, and how might they have gotten on me? We stay in a mobile home around which a lot of insects dwell, and I know there are probably places where small insects could get in if they wanted to. Also there are two stray cats which we often feed bones/scraps, and sometimes I do sit outside and hold/pet them, but as far as I know there is nothing else/I have done that would make them get on me.
Question 2: Are the insects heads and/or bodies still in my leg, or is there any way to know/is this anything to worry about? I have just heard that the head/body can reproduce in your blood stream and cause fatal disease, and I am very scared. What do I do??? I don’t even have insurance to go to the hospital cause can’t afford it!
Question 3: How could I know where the insects came or are coming from? Like what if there are some in this mobile home now?
