HUSBAND GOT HURT aT WORK NOW HE’S NOT WORKING!?
MY HUBBY GOT HURT AT WORK THANK GOD NOTHING MAJOR HE JABBED A STICK IN HIS EYE IT MISSED ALL THE IMPORTANT STUFF.HIS BOSS TOOK HIM TO HIS OWN EYE DR. THE DR.WAS VERY SHORT AND DIDNT GIVE HIM ANT DETAILS ON WHEN HIS EYE WOULD HEAL… NOW HIS BOSS IS NOT WORKING HIM THAT MUCH SO MY QUESTION IS .. IS IT TO LATE TO FILE WORKMENS COMP. YOU CAN STILL SEE HOW BAD HIS EYE IS.. IM THINKING HIS BOSS IS WAITING ON IT TO HEAL AND THEN FIRE HIM SO WHAT SHOULD I DO?
ALSO WHEN HE WA SHURT HE WAS WORKING AT HIS BOSSES HOUSE WITH OTHER EMPLOYEES DOES THIS MAKE A DIFFRENCE THAT IT WAS AT HIS BOEESE HOUSE?

His boss should have reported this to workers compensation so a claim can be started. Your hubby needs to call the workers compensation company (by law, it should be posted where employees can see it). A report of injury needs to be made. Any further doctors appointments need to be paid through the WC insurance company–it’s your hubby’s right if he was injured at work! God forbid he has a permanent disability from the injury, the insurance company may offer compensation down the line for it. Depending on your state, you might be able to sue for negligence if it was his employers FAULT–for example, my company didn’t fix steps after another injury was reported the same way and I broke my ankle two months later. I live in CT and I cannot sue my employer for neglience (even though they SHOULD have fixed this the first time) but the law states that they HAVE to pay for my medical bills.
