How to use the Raid ant bait III?
Sorry if it sounds like a stupid question.
I have separated one from the pack and placed it next to a crowd of ants
And I have yet to see a single ant to climb into it, in fact they seems to be avoiding it… lol
That’s why I doubt, is there a special way to open the bait? I see no hints on the package
Here’s the instructions given:
1. Break Raid ® Ant Baits III apart from the plastic frame.
2. For thorough ant control, all four baits must be used at one time. For larger kitchens or particularly heavy infestations, we strongly recommend using additional baits.
3. For best results, place the baits next to the wall along baseboards, in corners, under sinks, in cabinets, and near plumbing fixtures. You can even place baits in cabinets. Do not contaminate feed, food products, or food preparation surfaces, dishes, kitchen utensils, and food containers.
4. Baits work best on horizontal surfaces touching corners and walls.
5. Ants will begin eating the bait immediately, and you should expect to see fewer ants within days.
6. Replace all baits every three months to keep ants from returning.

The ants have left a trail to what they have previously been feeding on so you might clean the counter then place the baits down. Also there is no generic bait for all ants…some ants feed off of sugars others feed off of proteins. If the bait you have are for sugar feeders and they are looking for protein, they will never be attracted to it.

Some ants like sugar. For those, you could put a little bit of sugar on one.
Some ants like meat and food. Try baiting one bait with a tiny peace of food or meat.
We use dry cereal like wheat bran and maltomeal. Or corn meal. This swells when they eat it.
Also baby powder with talc in it.
