How do I stop spider bite itch and pain?
I was bit and everyone who has looked at it says it’s a spider bite. We moved into a new place and we have ants, cockroaches, moths so spiders wouldn’t surprise me. The pest control is coming friday.
My finger (where the bite is) is a little white-ish and then a few red dots in the middle (likely from my boyfriend trying to squeeze out an possible poison). My finger around the bite is swollen, I can’t even get my ring back on without pain and it likely getting stuck.
I’m at work so there’s not much I can do and I don’t want to go the doctor over a bug bite since last summer my boyfriend was bit, we went, they did nothing and it cost $500.

hm…well, it sounds like a bad bite from a spider…if it turns any darker, you need to git to a hospital…could be a bad spider.
If not, try using some lime juice…I know, sounds whacky, but try it. It works for jelly fish stings, I know that…

Go to Wal-Mart or Walgreens or where ever and get some hydrocortozone (spelled wrong) cream.

I would suggest oral benedryl.
And they also make a cream for anti-itch relief.
These two things together should help with the pain.
But it might make you sleepy.

It would subside in a week max. Dont worry too much about it yeah? I’ve gotten bitten by spiders, centipedes, bees and i’m still alive (so far). I wouldnt spend money on medication for insect bites.

Don’t squeeze it sometimes that just makes it worse. Ice may help with the swelling ….also Ibpropen (for swelling) 25mg of benedryl at night because it will make you tired. I would not put a bandage on it, let the air to it..
If it turns dark or you start n0oticing a ring around the bite go to the ER
Hope you feel better

Make sure it wasn’t a brown recluse spider, they are very dangerous..If your flesh starts eating away then you know it was one of them..Not sure where you live..Here are a pictures of a few bites http://images.google.com/images?q=spider+bites&hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7GFRD&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=X&oi=images&ct=title
antibiotic lotion or cream. Visit your Rite-aid or Wallgreens and ask for exact type.
Wash the area well with soap and water.
* Apply a cold or ice pack wrapped in a cloth, or a cold, wet washcloth to the site.
* To protect against infection, particularly in children, apply an antibiotic lotion or cream.
* Give acetaminophen for pain.
* Elevate the site if the bite occurred on an arm or leg (to help prevent swelling).
* Seek immediate emergency care for further treatment. Depending on how bad the bite is, treatment can range from administering corticosteroids and other medications to surgery of the ulcerated area. Hospitalization may be needed.
* Prompt treatment is very, very important to avoid more serious complications, especially in children.
Don’t wait on the bite! If you look around, you’ll see stories about people who waited because it seemed small – it can change very fast, so seek medical attention to be sure.

My Mom Always uses Lemon juice, And we tell if there was only one spider and one snake on the planet she would find them and get bit, lol So she has loads of experiance. BTW sqeezing can make the poision go deeper into your skin, You should leave it unless you have and extraction kit, they normaly come with first aid kits.
