Help?! Rumours flying!?
In grade 6, (I’m 13 now) our teacher let us have a Valentine’s day party. In the morning, while we were having our party, someone wrote a note that said f*u*c*k you on it to Jonah, someone in our class. So our teacher immediatlery stopped the party until someone put up to it. During reccess, the teacher asked me to stay in. I was wondering why. I found she had all our health books, which were made of a yellowy paper only our health books had (The note was on that type of paper and it was ripped off). She held up my health book and the rip I’ve never had before in my health book matched the notes jagged edges. I was in real trouble and I didn’t even do it! My teacher didn’t believe me. So, instead of getting in more trouble, I said I did it for attention. I had to say it in front of the class. Now, I’m 13 and rumours are flying about that note again. I’m getting ignored by my friends, who were friends with Jonah. I have to end this rumour now! In a good or bad way. I’m not sure how.help

tell the truth, they probably won’t beleive you. never admit to something that you didn’t do. in any case this will pass. in a couple of weeks there will be different rumors about some one else

Oh gosh, I’m so sorry to hear this. In fact, I just asked a question just like this about rumors =) I feel really bad
for you and I know what it’s like to be blamed for something
you didn’t do..I would suggest telling the people who are ignoring you or being mean to you that you didn’t do it..
try explaining the whole story….bug them about it and they
will most likely get annoyed and believe you!! May sound
wierd but it works! What doesn’t work is the ‘ol saying
“ignore it and it’ll go away” as you may know, this never
works!! so give the other options a try!!

In the future, young Friend, don’t take the blame for something you did not do again. The sitation will “blow over”. It’s not as bad as it seems. There is a saying that goes, ‘never explain, your friends don’t need it and your enemies won’t believe you anyway’.
