German Roach problem can you use anything in conjunction with professional spray?
We’ve been dealing with a german roach problem for 3 or 4 weeks now. Originally we had pest control come but didn’t realize they were german roaches and don’t die from standard pest control. Two weeks later the guy comes again to specifically spray for german roaches. It has been 10 days and we still see them and are finding some dead but still see plenty. I’ve found and cleaned 2 infestations, one under the fridge and one under a tray in the kitchen. The other two suspected infestations are in the dishwasher and in the bathroom sink in the wall through a hole near the pipes, both spots are unreachable. He’s coming again to spray the day after tomorrow. Do these f*ckers ever go away? Are we doomed to always have roaches? A little background we keep a clean house but live next to a vacant house on one side and a neighbor we suspect to be messy. We were also planning on moving soon as we are renting and are now worried that they will follow us. For preventative measures now we have stopped eating completely in the house and wipe up any water in the sink and showers after use. We’ve put all of our plates cookware utensils and bathroom things into plastic containers as we can’t stand the thought of them crawling on them. We see them during the day some but they really come out at night of course. PLEASE HELP IF YOU KNOW THE TRICK!!! We can’t relax in our home and are suffering psychologically because of this. We are relatively clean people both professionals and we are not hoarders or extremely messy people. WE ARE GOING CRAZY in this house and are paranoid about moving and bringing them. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell us how to make it stop? Has it not been long enough from the professional spray?

German roaches are the hardest thing to get rid of. I used to use Mrs. Carter’s Little Roach pills. The roaches actually turn white and die and it gets to the German ones. I don’t know what was all in those pills but a lot of it was Boric powder. Maybe not Mrs. Carter. . .those were the liver pills. . .but they came in a yellow box and I could only find them at very old stores in old parts of town. Use boric powder and be sure your kids or animals don’t get into it. The pills were great because you could drop them into places. As I remodeled an old house in St. Louis, I dropped them into the walls as I replaced things. Anyway boric powder is toxic to roaches and the pills must have pulled them into it. And boric powder is not as toxic to humans.
