I found a dog tick on the underneck of my cat, and removed it, smashed it’s head with tweezers, stuck it under boiling water, and drained it down the sink. However, it’s a relatively large wound around the neck of my cat for such a small tick. She’s an outside cat, so I expect it. But what if she has a disease? Can diseases like that spread to humans?
