Do you know of a good hotel?

I am going to South Beach for my 21st birthday in May and I am trying to find the perfect hotel to stay in. Since no one in my party is 25, we cannot rent a car so we wanted to get a hotel that was not only right on the beach (or a short walk away), but also is close to the strip so we can easily access all the bars, clubs, and hot spots of miami! Anyone who has been to south beach or maybe has experience in the travel industry I would appreciate your input! Also we are looking for something nice, but also affordable. We want to book flight, hotel for under $900 (we are flying from BWI) and staying for 4 nights.

Sobe hotels:
To be in the center of or within walking distance of the center of SoBe you want to stay somewhere below 23d street (address number under 2300) and on Washington or Collins Aves., or Ocean drive. There must be a hundred+ hotels in this area in various price classes.

Check out the prices of the Beacon Hotel. I stayed there a couple years ago and got a really good deal. Its located right on Ocean Drive near some fun bars (Wet Willies, the Clevelander, some Irish pub, etc). Plus you can easily grab a cab or walk to the bigger clubs and party areas, as well as, Lincoln Road where a bunch of shops are.
