Cotto – Mayweather(or Gayweather) next in November, what do you think?
Floyd Mayweather avoiding Pacquiao (as always because he is a chicken and is super mega afraid of Pacquiao) silences his critiques about him dodging fighters and challenge Cotto for the SuperWelterweight WBA title (or light middleweight, whatever you wanna call it). The fight weight limit 154 pounds. Cotto is not Pacquiao and will accept ALL the terms and conditions of Mayweather. Floyd will go as maybe 3 to 1 or maybe 5 to 1 (someplaces 10 to 1) favorite to win the title from Cotto. Cotto accepts the fight and is even done in Las Vegas (a place that has given Cotto nightmare fights; Cotto just hate to fight in Las Vegas)……..all this sound like an easy win for Mayweather
but
there is a secret, a variable that Mayweather is not taking into consideration in his master plan of controlling absolutley everything to make him look greater than he really is and that is
Emannuel Steward
You see Emanuel Steward is as good or better than Freddy Roach as a trainer and if Cotto trust him (and Cotto does after seeing how he won convincely against a bigger Yuri Foreman), Emmanuel Steward with his experience will train Cotto and teach him stuff to beat Mayweather. I think Mayweather can be beat like everyboxer can be.
My prediction at the end is Cotto knocking out Mayweather in late rounds in a very very close fight. I’m completely 100% sure that Cotto has enough power in his punches (specially in 154 pounds superwelterweight division) to knock out Mayweather AND Mayweather doesn’t have the power to knockout Cotto. You see to beat Cotto you have to pressure him ALL the fight and throw like a million punches and like 80% of them power punches. That’s exactly what Pacquiao does and Floyd won’t because you have to be completely and fully on the offensive against Cotto to win. Cotto defense is his weakness but making Cotto put offensive mode is just a mistake for any fighter fighting Cotto.
So again, Cotto beats Mayweather but Cotto loses to Pacquiao again and everytime they fight.

What is wrong with you. Cotto is one of those fighters he avoided the first time he retires. Now he is thinking of retiring again because of the ever growing numbers of fighters he need to avoid. This time it might be for good unless he got in trouble with the IRS again.

Cotto is good, but Money would beat him easily.
Emanuel Steward is good, but he is not better than Uncle Roger.
Cotto will GLADLY take any drug test. So Money should get ready to rumble for that easy fight.

i hope this would happen. since floyd considering retirement without pacquiao on his list, i would like him to try it out with cotto. a southpaw with an orthodox stance, thats big! i put a star on this question because its interesting…plus im a big cotto fan, i would love to see them rumble before floyd retires, or maybe after floyd wanted to return after 2 years.

No way , mayweather beats cotto easily at any weight and at any point in time. Cotto has no buisness in the ring with Manny or Floyd anyone who thinks otherwise does not know boxing. What has Cotto done lately to earn a mega fight again? Besides getting beat up in 3 back to back fights, 1 in which he won but barely, 2 in which he was beaten silly. Ok so now Cotto is making a comeback and has 1 win and a new belt but against someone virtually unknown and Yuri had no power. I am not even a Manny fan at all but lets be honest if it was Manny in the ring with yuri he would have got rid of him inside of 5 rounds. To get in the ring with someone like Manny (again) or to be able to challenge Floyd you have to earn those chances. Cotto still has to put in his work and redeem himself before he can fight Floyd or think about a rematch with Manny. He has to fight his way back up in the rankings last i checked he wasnt even in the top 10 anymore and I doubt his victory over Yuri was enough to even put him back in the top 10. If floyd ever fought Miguel , Floyd would cruise to an easy unanimous decision , stop the fight on cuts (tko for Floyd) or make miguel cotto quit once again. Yes I said… once again, I like Cotto but dont forget Cotto has quit in a fight or 2 in the past … his body language said it all in those bouts he was beaten up in.

this is ridiculous. Cotto knocking out Mayweather in late round ????? come on. Mayweather will make Cotto look like an amateur fighter if they ever fight.
