Can my adult dog with Lyme’s Disease benefit from Gluclosamine and Chondroidin (sp) pills for joint support.?

I have a 3 year old dog, we keep him on frontline, however during the winter months we arent as strict with it. Last winter we took him down south for a camping trip, where he got a tick and contracted Lyme Disease. He has had all of his meds, and is doing just fine, however we noticed that he has a slight hip issue and the vet said it is most likely because of the Lymes and that it was just sitting in his system for a few months before we noticed it. I just bought a pill for my other dog that is showing signs of hip problems, and I was wondering if this joint support would help my other dog too.

Sure it will. You can have both the dogs on it so this way it can help less the amount of degeneration to the joints and help make them work more smoothly.
Just get the right dosage from your vet.

Yes it will a lot. My dalmatian is 13 years old and last year I noticed he was getting a little stiff in his back. He was abused by a former owner when he was a puppy. The owner hit him with a wrecking bar and broke his back. He still has a dent from it but it wasn’t giving him problems until last year when he was just moving slower. My vet recommended it because conventional pills from them weren’t working. He takes it once a day and it’s prefect. After a week of taking them he was back to his normal bouncy self. It was like someone had rolled the clock back 5 years. It’s really amazing. I’ve had him since I was 4 so he’s my best buddy and I’d do anything to help him. I’m sure it will be brilliant for your dog as well. You can buy if from most health food shops and it’s not that expensive. Ask your vet how many mg your dog will need because you don’t want to give him/her to much. you can give it to any dogs or cats who are getting stiff or having joint/bone or movement problems. You can give it to prefectly healthy animals as well. What does work very will is giving them half a tin of tuna every 2-3 days. The fish oil in it is brilliant for coats and joints

Of course.
It is a supplement – meaning, it wouldn’t be harmful to your dog even if he didn’t have a hip issue. Many people use it at as a “preventative” of sorts for large breed dogs, and keep them on it throughout their lifetime.
