“Can I use Frontline Plus for dogs 22 -44 lbs if my dog teeters just around 22lbs?

Frontline Plus has different dosages and I just recently ordered the one for dogs weighing 23 – 44 lbs. I was worried that she would not get enough protection from the 11 – 22 lb dosage. She is a cocker spaniel if that makes any difference. Maybe I could use it but not administer the whole vial? I was confused a bit because other flea control meds have different weight charts/dosages. Thanks for your help!

I work for an animal company now 10 years, you can use that size but keep in mind it is a pesticide and you will be putting on enough for a 44lb dog. I would leave a few drops in the vial and disguard it. If you haven’t purchased it yet go with the smaller size since you are boarderlined

Personally I would choose the 11-22lb dosage.
The pesticides in these flea and tick treatments has been connected with liver disease, personally I would be far more concerned with an overdose than not providing enough protection.
