Can I get emotional distress for living in infested (roaches) APT? ?

I don’t no how much 2 sue for, live N GA..landlord hand wrote, on lease No roaches, but there were! Now suing, what to do? Any advice?? Is that lease even vaild, after he hand wrote no roaches, but got apt inspected by pest control, & they found the apt was infested? Can I get all my 12 months of rent back, pest cost & emotional distress? Very lost guys

You are not going to get your rent back. You did live there for a year even with the roaches. I seriously doubt you will get anything to be truthful.

Just get out! What are you trying to do, sue for emotional distress? Seriously, just get out and move on. That will help your mental state tremendously! Since you lived there, you may not be entitled to 12 months of rent. The longer you stay mentally and physically, the more distressed you are gonna be.

You will not get anything. Since you lived there there is no rent back, it is also proof that you did not suffer enough distress to sue for.
You *might* get the cost of pest control, but you will have to prove you informed the landlord, gave him 30 days to respond and he did not.
The judge will likely throw the whole thing out though, not even waste his own breath on it.
