We have an almost 2 year old dachshund (maybe 1/2 beagle) who has been losing hair on her chest and belly. At first, I thought it was no big deal, just shedding, and this is the first summer we’ve had her. Now there’s little bumps on her chest that look like mosquito bites. I’ve googled pictures of mange and ringworm and it definitely doesn’t look like that. she’s up to date on her shots and takes the flea and heartworm pill regularly, but it may be possible that she has been bitten by ticks. Does anyone know if I should be concerned? Is this a symptom of lyme disease maybe?

The bumps are new and they’re in the middle of her chest, so unless she’s sprouting new nipples…I think some of you may be wrong. Although, it might be a good idea to have the water tested ;-)
