Bright golden orange ANTS, they bite some have wings some don’t , what are they, how do i get rid of them?

i live in michigan and my neighbors don’t get them. they attacked me once while i was working in the garden and i got itcy red bumps on my arm last year. HOW DO I GET RID OF THEM!

Some tips: Go to your local nursery and buy products made to deter ants.
Home-made tips: I have used this one – sprinkle Comet (or Ajax, etc.) cleanser in a line around the area you would like to keep the ants out of. You will have to repeat this everytime you water.
Ants do not like coffee grounds, you could sprinkle those.
Another: Mix 2 cups of borax and 1 cup of sugar in a quart jar. Punch holes in the lid and sprinkle around the area.
Now, for your rash: Try the white of an egg to relieve itching OR make a poultice of cornstarch or baking soda mixed w/vinegar, fresh lemon juice, or witch hazel.
Since you are not sure if these are ants or not, capture some and take them to your local County Ag office to find out just exactly what you are dealing with.
