Hi again just noticed my cat’s kittens have fleas and i know it causes problems for the little ones. Would it be safe to use flea powder and baby powder together?
I thought about just gently combing over them daily until i could get something to use on them, would that be alright?

No don’t use flea powder unless you want dead kittens. It is too strong and dangerous for such young kittens. Call your vet and talk to him and ask what you can do for such a young litter of kittens. DO NOT give any over the counter flea control to the mother either it will go into her milk.

they cannot be treated with any chemicals until they’re much older.
I’d consult a vet, they’re pretty young still. I can’t think of anything I’d use on wk old kittens.

The only thing you can do is flea treat the mom – however, the only over the counter flea products safe to use on nursing cats are Advantage or Frontline – anything else will poison the kittens. The fleas will quite literally suck the life out of the kittens, and cause flea bite anemia. Change their bedding daily to get rid of the fleas and flea eggs in it, and wash it in the hottest water you have. Also vacuum near the nest box to suck up fleas and eggs as well. Do not put any flea products on the kittens themselves – there is nothing safe to use on them other than a product you get from the vet, and they are at least 3 weeks away from being able to use even a vet-prescribed flea treatment.
