I wasn’t really afraid of ticks and fleas before. But after hearing about what everyone’s saying; about how ticks spread diseases and gives you rashes, I’m beginning to be afraid of them. I almost wanna give my puppy away because I’m scared ticks will bite me and I’ll have some disease. I don’t think my puppy has encountered ticks yet because I’ve use medication to help prevent this. But I know the medicaion isn’t 100%. How frequent do pets bring these pests into the home? My pets don’t go outside; only my puppy when i take him shopping.

Please anything that can help me feel better about ticks and fleas. I clean my house often but of course there are areas I can’t get to and I can’t disinfect the whole entire house. I really don’t want to have to give my puppy away, but I also don’t want to get bitten by ticks or fleas. I live in the city, in California.
gosh some ppl are so rude. the reason why i suddenly became so afraid of this is both my mom and dad have lyme disease. they found out a year ago; but i just found out today when my dad was in the hospital. my mom was able to treat her infection early, but my dad wasn’t and it has affected his nerves and brain. so i kinds wanna not get any infections. since i saw my dad today and it was so sad.
