My dog keeps chasing her tail…whats the deal?

Ticks
I have a 9 month German Shepherd and for the last few days she has been trying to chase her tail. She spins really fast and it’s hard to stop her. My neighbor said it could be fleas or ticks that she is trying to get it at…but yesterday I took her to a groomer and she was given a deep flea and tick bath. This morning I woke up to her chasing her tail again.
Secondly, when my family is not around her, she is fine. The moment that someone goes outside, or shows any attention is when she starts up.

Even if the fleas are gone the bites are still there…..

She may not have fleas or ticks at all! My dog is 11 years old and completely healthy and chases her tail at least 5 times a day! It’s just a dog thing. If you gave her a bath and the groomer said she’s clean, then she’s fine! No worries! She’s still a puppy and might grow bored with it, or she could be like mine and take it into her old age, LOL. All is well!

She just needs some outside play time! Big dogs need a lot of exercise and fun!

It’s normal, the dog is playing. Actually I have seen some of my bosses do the same at the office.

sounds like she’s bored. take her for a long walk or play a game with her. it sounds to me like she’s just trying to amuse herself—be thankful that she’s not chewing the furniture all to hell to amuse herself.
