Ticks
Of all the topical flea/tick control products, which do you think is the best and why? I don’t know which to pick out of all these product that seem the same like K9 Advantix, Frontline Plus, Frontline Top Spot, Advantage Multi, etc.

I prefer Frontline Plus because it seems to cover the broadest spectrum of ticks.

Advantix takes care of fleas, ticks, & mosquitos (only for dogs)
Frontline Plus does fleas, ticks, chewing lice, and mosquitos
Frontline Top Spot does fleas, ticks, and chewing lice
Advantage multi does fleas, ticks, and mosquitos
And..your frontline is going to be water proof unlike the others.
I prefer Frontline. Advantage never worked for my pets. And, Advantix works ok too.

I use Advantage Multi on my two rescue fosters and have been very pleased with it’s effectiveness. In addition to flea control it works for other parasites, including heartworm.

I use fleatreats. You can get them at fleatreats.com, they’re cheap, dogs and cats can take them, they work well, and dogs and cats love ‘em. If you have a picky pet you can crush them and mix with food. Non-toxic so your pet can eat a whole bottle by accident and it won’t hurt them. I’d give it a try.

I use Frontline Plus, but have also used Advantix. I think it’s a matter of person opinion as to which is better.
I have heard not so good things about Top Spot , and especially about the new topical mediation that has come out, Promeris. Someone just mentioned last week that their dog became very ill from Promeris, so I would stay aways from Promeris.
