Yahoo Answers allows people to ask questions and get answers quickly without having to pay anything for the information they receive. It’s like a community service where people can help other people. Google Answers is a service that charges users to ask questions and have other people answer them. Yahoo Answers has a lot more questions on it, but I assume that is because people aren’t forced to pay for the advice they receive. Others are probably willing to pay, but aren’t comfortable giving out credit card information over the internet. Personally I prefer Yahoo.

Yahoo’s offering is free and answerers are not necessarily screened to be experts in their fields.
Google’s service has you pay, but the theory is you’re getting a screened and expert response.
