The Comcast Billing Ripoff. This is Brian Nelson. By the way, my voice is recovering from a medical Vocal Folds procedure. I will read this and scroll it so you can hopefully understand me. Yesterday I got my monthly invoice from Comcast for my phone, internet connection and cable tv. I noticed that it was larger than previous months by . I checked the statement and found a .95 fee under the word One time charges and credits. I looked on the back and found that this was for a Customer trouble call. Yes. My system had crashed. I had a defect somewhere in it. The first Comcast repair man could not find it. Finally after another week they sent another repairman out who found that I had a bad Comcast modem. He replaced it. Then everything worked fine. When I called Comcast, I told them I didnt want to pay any $ 24.95 for a trouble shooting call. She looked up my file and told me that they had replaced the Comcast modem. I said I didnt want to pay for changing out the Comcast modem. She said Oh, I will take the .95 off. I asked why they put it on there in the first place? She said We dont put it on there. The computer automatically does that. I stated that to put it automatically on is unethical and illegal. She said that there was nothing she could do about it. She took off the .95 charge. I …

Thank you for taking your time to try and save money for all of those who don’t check their bills as carefully as they should .
This applies to All bills and not just Comcast as they all want your money by whatever means
neccessary.

Yes, I agree. Comcast is slug bait. They have made billing errors with me, too. I changed residences a year ago and personally returned their equipment to their office. I inquired, and they told me nothing else was needed. Now, a year later, I found they sent a $12 invoice to collection because they billed the wrong address, never even trying to call me. It made a mess of my credit. Don’t trust them!

Wow. Looks like you had a very bad experience with Comcast. I wish there was a patients advocate place to contact when you get ripped by a big company who only does what the computer tells them to do. When are the big companies accountable. My January Comcast bill was $115.60.
My February Comcast bill was $169.42.
My March Comcast bill is $187.59. What the hell is going on? I am going to call and get this straightened out and if they don’t bring my bill down to what it should be which I think it should be, then I have to go to another provider.

They explained to me why my bill was $187 and they told me I was on a package deal and I didn’t realize it. This was my fault. So my next bill will be about $112.00.

mine goes up 20 dollars everytime.
what triple play package did you get?
they told me it would be 135 $ a month for the premiuim package.
the internet has a slow feed, the cable is the only thing desent and the phone service is a complete rip off die to the fact that AT&T only charges 15 bux a month for local service, 45 dollars a month for high speed internet ( and that internet service was great), and direct tv shits all over comcast.

Take a minute to see the other videos this guy has on You Tube. This is an angry old man with a camera searching for anything that you do wrong! I guess that’s what you do after 60. Man, i love reading watching these in between my calls. Working in a call center makes you have questions about how mankind will live on. People call in with the dumbest questions or looking to get something for nothing all the damn time. I am not saying that this video is one of them but most of these ppl that post videos about comcast called in with a question, didnt like the response or it was not what they wanted to hear……and then they bitch and moan about it.

im goin through that now i pay my bill a month behind every month. it wasnt until today i recieved notice that i owe 107.00 mind you its a disconnection notice.I called for reasons and they say its from when i first signed up so i will go into the store Monday personally cause thats been 9mths of billing built up and you mean to tell me they couldnt let me know there was a past due amount they are rip offs no good

Hello Brian, Yes, I got bill with $4.95 for service call. An I’m working from 6am until7pm. No time for shower, and they put me on hold for almost an hour, still no one answer my call. Then I just give up. I’m strongly agree that there should be law for this. Comcast is stupid now.

Actually, its the 2nd technicians fault. He put in the wrong code in the system when he finished the job. The only time comcast charges for a trouble call is when the technician determines the issue has nothing to do with comcast. like lets say the customer smashed the modem to bits with a hammer. In which case the tech inputs a code and the trouble call is then charged to the customer. It was a simple human error. I wouldn’t get so worked up over it. She removed the charge after all.
