For Anyone Who Knows About The Lord of the Flies?

I have to write an essay on the following question:
The sow’s head and the conch shell each wield a certain kind of power over the boys. In what ways do these objects powers differ? In what ways is the Lord of the Flies a novel about power? Aboutt the power of the symbols? Aboutt the power of a person to use symbols to control a group?
what exactly is the question asking?
and for those of you who have read the book…do any of you have any ideas/opinions for an answer?
please help me! thanks!

One of the best book ever written…….it was my Grade 10 literature book and from what i recall…humans can be evil when the situation requires them to……it’s like it’s trying to tell us that there’s always some evil in all of us…but whether we choose to use it or not……..Good luck
I had this party one time. I made allot of food and pies and stuff. This girl that I talked to at the time came in with this cake she made . When it came time for the desert she was trying to control the situation and started serving everyone her cake and bragging about it. I got so p-ssed. I made some nice pies and she did that to me. The cake looked like cat litter with toostie rolls as poo,no joke! I tasted it, it wasn’t that good. My grandma saw the cake and thought it was disgusting. I hate when people try to take over my gig in my house.
