What products actually repel mosquitoes?
I am tired of going outside and being eaten alive by mosquitoes. All my life they have been seriously attracted to me. It’s so bad I basically have to bathe in max DDT bug repellent for just a little relief. Do things like the OFF! Clip-On actually work? And do they work better than just the spray? I’d like to know before I spend money on something.
I’ve heard of a few remedies like a dryer sheet in your pocket or using Absorbine Jr. The dryer sheet didn’t work for my 2 year old and I doubt it will work for me. Absorbine Jr. helps keep other bugs away, but mosquitoes are persistent. Plus you have to keep reapplying it a lot. So anything that really does work, let me know please!

The most effective mosquito repellents contain DEET. However, I advise you to read the information given by the source below, especially if you intend to use it on your 2 year old.
Although, my parents used DEET based mosquito repellents a few times on me as a child, I was more cautious with my own children and used only botanical mosquito repellents. They need to be applied more often, but they are far less toxic.

they use vitamin B-1 or niacin as the active ingredient. i also take B-complex vitamins and just that reduces the amount of bites i get. i saw the patches at a local sporting goods store and figured they were a gimmick so i bought a couple and used myself as a guinea pig and they really do work just as well as deep-woods with deet. another bonus is they are fine to use with kids, you just have to make sure to put the patch between their shoulder blades where they can’t reach to pull them off.
i am a fishing guide in British Columbia and having bug repellent on your hands will repel fish as well so they are a great option for clients too. i also spend time in northern BC where mosquito’s have been known to carry away small children and they worked up there too.
another good one is to give someone that you don’t like too much a pale yellow t-shirt. for some reason bugs are attracted to the color and will attack that person.
