What is the best flea-treatment for cats that have very thick and long hair?

Fleas
It’s that time of the year again and yes, we got them again! We had to bomb the house once already but if you’re not getting rid of them on the cat than what is the use?
I tried preventing them this year beginning in March with flea collars and flea egg and larvea drops by HARTZ but I think this product sucks! What is the best affordable brand at a local pet store like PetSmart…. Adams and Zodiac seem to have the best results… PLease HELP! I don’t want to spend a lot money and I don’t want to over medicate my cat!

The best flea treatment you will get is from your vet, it works from the inside out, it gets into the blood stream and when a flea does bite your cat it dies. The over the counter medications are a waste of money.

well if you don’t want to spend alot of money then you get what you pay for
now if your serious about getting rid of the fleas then find a local vet or feed store and use Advantage for Cats make sure you get his weight correct so you have the right dose for him also if he has fleas he has worms so you want to get Tape worm medication from a Vet’s office not any where else other stuff doesn’t work so don’t waste your money
advantage has been running commercials & telling you to visit your local vet for a free tub with a purchase
Our vet’s office has it at buy 4 tubes get 2 free
