They will soon die. Get some food-grade Diatomaceous earth at a hardware store or Walmart and sprinkle it wherever you think they are hiding. I have had good luck spraying them with Lysol whenever I see them. You should be able to force your landlord to take steps to control them. Call your local housing authority, or the county board of health. If that fails, see if your neighbors will go together to consult an attorney. You could all put your money in escrow.
