I think maybe you need to sit down, and identify the MAJOR issues here.. issues that for example, are directly affecting your studies (i know it's all affecting, but just choose the major issues first). Your studies need to be the most important thing right now, as it looks like, doing well in your studies, completing them and finding a good job is the only thing that is going to give you a long term solution to your family problems at the moment. So make sure you don't neglect college, it's your ticket out. :) As for now, you definately need to find a counsellor who is going to help you with yourself, and give you usefull advice. Just remember.. it looks as if both your parents are pretty set in their ways, and they aren't going to change anytime soon..not without some SERIOUS work anyway. So the only thing left to change to maybe better the situation, is you =). Your reactions and responses to your parents, and the things they do. You are 19 now, so you aren't dependent on your parents anymore. Try and come up with a different attitude.. For example "Ok, my Mum hasn't come home, it's late, we don't know where she is" .. Think, how many times has she done this? Plenty!! .. Of course you're still worried, that's only natural, but you need to stop letting it take over. If you lose sleep, if you dont study for your next exam, if you stop your whole life untill she comes back..Will that bring her back?? No.. So just try to keep foccused on the things you're working on.. i.e college, your personal friendships etc. Soon you will realise, that as much as you care for your parents, there's not much you can do to change them. That will give you the freedom to focus on YOU.. so you can free yourself from this. Then, maybe once you have got your life/career/personal drama's settled, you will be in a better position, mentally and emotionally to help them.
