My cat is too curious!?

ants
We have a carpenter ant infestation right now, and my cat was just playing with one, and it bit him on the paw and wouldn’t let go! He was limping like crazy!
We have bait out for them, but apparently it’s not working.
What do I do about these vicious ants that eat my cat?

Boil water, Get it very hot.
Pour it over the ants.
Do not call an exterminator, Their chemicals can injure the cat.
PS – most likely your kitty was trying to eat the ant, my cat ”plays” with moths before consuming them.!
Whenever you see the cat going near the ants, grab the cat and take him away from there.

Cats tend to investigate anything and everything that move … and if it looks like food or a toy, it’ll go after it. You could try keeping him away from the ants, or just leave him and see if he learns. If he doesn’t, just try to keep him away until they’re gone …

If it bit him, he could learn to stay away. Our cat got bitten three times before she stopped climbing up the rat’s cage to get into the bench. If he doesn’t learn, do something about it. Call someone who can get rid of them, but that may harm the cat so you might have to get someone to watch him for a few days.
My cat almost jumped into a pot of boiling noodles today.
