I’d switch to Terro. It’s a syrup type stuff. You can’t inhaile it and it WORKS.

Yeah, I would leave the house and have someone else spray. EVERYTHING affects you when you’re pregnant, not to mention, Raid is a contact poison so if you touch it or inhale it into your lungs, imagine what it’s doing to you. I would get a hotel room and steer clear (or go to a friend’s or your mom’s or something.) Good luck!

I aske dmy OB’GYN about this too when i was pregnant, because our place was sprayed for bugs. My doctor said that it should be okay, jsut make sure you get some fresh air, and have your house ventilated. Avoid DEET however.

I think they might also be coming from outside, so the best bet here is to get into touch with a pro, someone like orkin, or one of the local guys in your area. But whatever you do, it can’t be good for the baby to breath poison! So even if you have to take care of it “yourself” have a friend do it while you out for a nice day at the park, or lunch! Yes it is harmful, speak with your OB/GYN and ask him to recommend something for you to use.

We have a bit of a carpenter ant problem too. I’m not so sure about the Raid. I know it won’t solve your ant problem. I wouldn’t take the chance on harming baby. There is a product called Advance carpenter ant bait. It’s highly toxic but works. It’s prescription strength. I would, if it were me, visit family or friends while someone takes care of this.
