Help! My daughter has math problems and needs help..6x-4x-3x=5x –can you help her?

there are 5 more problems like that.
6x – 4x -3x=`x
7 + 5p – p = 11p
7 + 5p – p = 7
7 + 5p – p = 7 + 4p
7 + 5p – p = 0
Ant help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you
She is in the 8th grade.
It says that i need to add Parentheses and needed to be made into a true statement.Like 3(x+1)-2x=x+3 for
1.6x-4x-3x=5x
2.6x-4x-3x=-x
3.7+5p-p=11p
4.7+5p-p=7
5.7+5p-p=7+4p
6.7+5p-p=0
And i’m in 8th grade and i find this math a little hard
Any Help Wanted
It says that i have to put Parentheses to make the statement true Example
3x+1-2x=x+3
but in the book it says 3(x+1)-2x=x+3

1. x=0
2. p=1
3. p=0
4. p=0
5. p=-7/4
Those problems you posted don’t seem right to me. Why would anyone assign so many problems where the answer is just 0?

first , combine like terms, meaning, combine x’s with x’s and p;s with p’s:
6x-4x-3x-5x
6-4-3=-1, so
-x=5x
since -1 can’t equal 5, x must equal 0.
7+5p-p=11p
5-1=4,so
7+4p=11p
Now isolate the variable on 1 side (with the subtraction property I think its called).
7+4p-4p = 11p-4p
7=7p
Divide both sides by 7,
p=1
The rest of the problems can be solved in similar ways.
Answers:
Title problem x=0
#1:x=0
#2:p=1
#3:p=0
#4:p=infinite solutions (because you get 7+4p=7+4p, so p can be anything)
#5:p=-7/4

How old is your daughter? That would help. these are early algebra type problems. the objective is to isolate the variable on one side of the equation. For example:
7 + 5p – p = 11p
move all the variables with ‘p’ to one side:
7 + 5p – 5p – p=11p – 5p (whatever you do to one side of the equation, you do to the other)In this case, you subtract 5p from each side.
7-p=6p
7-p+p=6p+p then you add p to each side
7=7p
Then you divide each side by 7.
p=1
Does that help?

6x – 4x -3x = 5x becomes 6x – (4x -3x) = 5x
6x – 4x -3x=`x I’m not sure about this one. Is it supposed to be 6x – 4x -3x = -x? then it would be (6x-4x) – 3x = -x
7 + 5p – p = 11p becomes (7 + 5)p – p = 11p
7 + 5p – p = 7 becomes 7 + 5(p – p) = 7
7 + 5p – p = 7 + 4p becomes 7 + (5p – p) = 7 + 4p
You do not actually need parentheses for the previous one.
7 + 5p – p = 0 I cannot figure this one out. Is something typed wrong?
