Guitar Hero: On Tour – I Don’t Wanna Stop (Hard)
Yeah. I got bored again. But I also decided to go for a small chain of videos while I had the time. I won’t bother showing the scores in this field, but a couple of the videos will state the scores themselves. It took a while to record due in part to the camera (had to re-record a lot) and the fact I couldn’t quite sit still. Oh, and an ant problem that involved a bait trap. Little buggers were everywhere.
Video Rating: 2 / 5

Day five of my vlog. Worst vlog ever? Maybe that’s just because I got scammed today. I give five tips on how to avoid the “bait & switch” job posting scam that I fell for on Craigslist. (Ad promises a great job. Once interviewed, they say you’re hired and ask you to pay for overpriced job training. When the training is complete they ask you to leave. It turns out they can’t employ anyone because they are not a licensed employment agency and there was no job.) @KamidakeRed I completely agree. Last time I checked, this scam was still in operation. Somehow these criminals slip through the cracks of justice.

Yup, some scammers tried to rip me off with a fake job offers after I responded to a Craig’s List ad. Fortunately, I figured out it was a scam before giving them any information like my SSN.
There’s a special place in HELL for these bastards. Preying on the unemployed? REALLY?
Craig’s List has been reduced to a gathering place for crooks to run their scams and prostitutes to advertise themselves.
Get your shit together, Craig’s List, before your reputation is damaged beyond repair!

@PamelaRP Sorry to hear that. It’s really hard to find a real job that pays a decent wage these days. What is your job field of interest and experience?

Thanks for posting this video of how bad craigslist really is. There are too many ads for Non-existant jobs. I have been looking for work for over a year and am finding out that temporary agencies say they are recruiting for call center jobs and need 75 to 100 people and never do they call you back and never tell you why. Got a call last week for a company over in the Pearl district where they said they needed 70 call center workers and I referred 4 of my friends and I never got called back.

I worked at a drug testing facility where some employers would send prospective employees would come in for pre-employment drug testing and they were required to pay for their own test and if they passed, they would get their money back…not totally related but yeah, interesting stuff lol

@Remzi101 I researched security jobs a bit further and discovered that the entry-level positions pay around $7.25-$9.25 per hour, while the $15.75-$25.00 per hour jobs are rare and require 5-7 years experience.
My advice is to look for another field of employment without training on your dime. Not worth the trouble for a $7.25 per hour job.

@Remzi101 I added an “eHow” link in the sidebar to help you out. Find a legitimate registered security training facility for around $25-$50 total, anything more expensive is just trying to rip you off. Google the security training company and read reviews of their service. Gain “Fire Guard” training on your own for cheap ($25-$35) through your local Fire Dept. classes.

@Remzi101, I agree with @AmyAngelGal below. Pay for nothing! If it is a legitimate job all you will have to do is apply, interview, and all uniform costs will be deducted from your first paycheck. If they ask for any money for anything, IT IS A SCAM! Be careful and feel free to continue to ask any questions you have. Good luck! You’ll be working soon!

For anybody who’s looking for a job, if the employer is asking you to foot the bill for background checks, training or fees, it is more than likely a scam. If they are training internally it is to save them money, not to charge you. The only training/licensing that would be legit is if it is for city or state licensing that you would pay directly to the citty or state. I used to work in HR at Intel Corp. and a true employer is there to hire you, not charge you money.
